U.S. Grown was founded by Clifford DeMay. He is the President of U.S. Grown, LLC., and the owner of DeMay Labor – a licensed Farm Labor Contractor (U.S. and New York licenses) that provides farm labor for farmers, food processors, and other groups in the Northeast sector of the United States. Mr. DeMay was previously the Farm Division Manager for Seneca Foods Farms, and managed this food conglomerate’s farm activities for fifteen years, starting with a 300 acre fruit farm, and ending with a 3000 acre fruit farm (apples, cherries, peaches). He has owned his own fruit farm since 1965 through to the present.

Through his involvement with the farm sector, the farm worker sector, the migrant worker housing sector, and the food processing sector, Mr. DeMay has come to know many farmers, farm workers, and food processing firms, and has listened to their stories and concerns about the future of the food sector in the United States.
